Pinkfresh monthly challenge

Pinkfresh Studio is my new fav stamp company. I love all the botanical images that have corresponding dies and stencils. There are so many ways to use them. 

I have collected a few over the last year, enough that I decided to join this month's challenge.

 

The challenges are theme and color based. You can do one or the other or both. the theme is leaves and greenery.

My card features "Folk Garden". I used the stamp, stencil, and die. To create some interest I dry embossed the die for the background on my card.

Last hurrah

 Labor day, today is the end of the summer season and what better way to end the season than to be lost at a lake. I am thinking of my girlfriend's Pocono Mountain house that is right on a lake.

Magical Birthday

I have taken a month or so off from Cupcake Inspirations, while I have dealt with work challenges (they are not fun like this one!!). But I am back and this week's challenge is "Shades of Green" and anyone who knows me, knows that green is my most favorite color ever!!

I added some stenciled balloons to my birthday dragon and there we have it, a fun card. You culd do this card in any color. Perhaps pink for a girl or blue for a boy.

Plum thank you

 

It's September 1,  summer is pretty much over. The kids are back in school, the leaves are starting to change, and Starbucks is selling pumpkin spice everything again. Fall is on it's way.

But the first of the month means a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. We are looking for cards that are "purely plum". That gorgeous reddish purplely color.

My card could not be more simple. A stencil and a sentiment and you have a great thank you card for someone of the male persuasion.

There really aren't any songs with the color plum in them, so I went with a fall themed song to inspire your creativity. I hope you enjoy the "Leaves that are Green" by Simon and Garfunkle.

Happy Monday! Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. We are looking at a sketch challenge this week.

I had so much fun with this sketch, that I actually made three cards!! I asked Deb Owens, our team leader to pick the cards to post. She picked this dreamy card featuring Newton's Naptime from Newton's Nook.

The card also features the cascading stars stencil also from Newton's Nook, that masked off to mimic the sketch.

Hummingbirds

Happy Monday! Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. The challenge is a fun beachy color scheme.

We would like you to use teal, yellow, white and green in your creations.

My card today uses the Hummingbird stamp set from Newton's Nook and the basket weave stencil also from NN. Have you ever seen a hummingbird. I love bird watching but have only seen a few over the years. It is quite a treat when I do come across one.
