Baby chick

I almost didn't play this week over at Inky Paws. The challenge is a baby theme.
I really do not have many baby theme stamps. I looked through all my Newton stamps to see if there was anything that would work and alas nothing. BUT.... then my Simon Says Stamp order arrived with Newton's Easter Basket set and there was someting I could work with!!! Yay!!!

The egg I just die cut and using a fine sharpie I outlined it and created the crack of the impending baby chick. The grass is Newton's wave stencil.   The "joy" of the impending birth is from Newton's Sentiments of the Season.

On the inside the baby chick has hatched. So glad that SSS order arrived!!

Head on over to Inky Paws and see what the DT has created and join in the fun!!

Valentine smooches

This has been a rough week for me. I am getting over the flu and pneumonia. One minute I was healthy and fine and the next I have a 103 degree fever and am as sick as a dog. No fun!!!

I am beginning to feel a bit better and I am tired of being in bed, so I bundled up and ventured into the studio to check out the challenge over at Inky Paws. I was hoping for a Valentine type challenge since I needed a reason to make a Valentine for hubby. The team did not disappoint. The challege is a color challenge with wonderful Valentine colors- pink, green, brown and white.
I wasn't completely on my game and this card took longer to come together than normal, but I am thrilled with the look. I am going to use the same layout for cards for my staff, if my strength holds up.

George loves all things teddys and so the kissing bears from "Holiday Smooches" was perfect. The sentiment was a combo of "Simply Seasonal" and "Holiday Smooches"

The challenge at Inky Paws inspiration to kick start your Valentine creativity. Be sure to link up and show us what you have created.

Think I may have to have a lie down now. Getting mighty tired.
