Today starts anew challenge at CAS on Friday. Today's theme is a crowd favorite:

ANIMALS

I think I have as many critter stamps as I do flowers. It was hard choosing, but I went with a set from Simon Says Stamp- "Critter Crowd"

Grab your cutest critter stamp and make a your CAS card. Be sure to share it with us at  CAS on Friday . You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Blooming friends

Happy Memorial Day everyone- the traditional kick off to summer. Hubby and I will be celebrating with the quintessential BBQ. Burgers, potato salad, corn on the cob and baked beans and I will be enjoying a day off from work.

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. this one I expect lots of entries. Because what is better than a birthday challenge but a FLORAL CHALLENGE. I dare say most stampers have more flowers stamps than they do any other kind of stamp. I know I do!!

Today's card features a new to me stamp from Newton"s Nook called "Blooming Botanicals" and "Garden Mice". This was a pleasure to color in.

Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the time at home crafting and join our flowery challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. CASE your wardrobe

Things are very slowly returning to normal at the hospital where I work. The Covid numbers are dropping and we are beginning to return to a normal schedule in the endoscopy unit I run. And the best news is I get a day off this week. YAY!!! I was supposed to have two weeks off to go to the beach with family during the pandemic- which went right bout the window. Covid doesn't care about my need for family and sunshine. In fact it really doesn't like sunshine at all.

Anyway, I digress. Today is a REALLY fun challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. We want you to CASE your wardrobe and let a favorite item of clothing inspire your creation. Come on doesn'tbthat sound like an awesome challenge!!

I went to my closet and just started pulling things out and throwing them on the bed, until I came to this shirt. This is really not my style-it is so totally my SIL's style. But it looks adorable with leggings.

I think my card needs no explanations. What fun it was allowing my shirt to lead the way.

I even came up with a second design, based on the shirt, using similar stamp, but just a bit wonky and not quite as clean and crisp.

Thanks to everyone for playing along with my birthday challenge here at Cardz 4 Galz .We had quite a turnout and some awesome contributions. It was hard to pick the winners!!

Let's get going- start riffling through your closet and pick out an item of clothing to inspire you. Don't forget to show us the item that inspired you. Come and join us for this clever and fun challenge at Cardz 4 Galz . You have two weeks to enter the fun!

Tulip girl

When I am organizing my cards for my various challenges, I assign them quick titles so I can remember which card gets posted when. Today's card for Inky Paws was quickly tagged with "tulip girl". So, that was what I titled this post. I have a "tulip girl" at work. One of my GI fellows loves tulips and spent a morning at a tulip farm in NJ. She said it was gorgeous. She bought tons of tulips and can only imagine that this is what she looked like carrying all her tulips in to her apartment.

Today is our second week at Inky Paws for our sketch challenge. Not many peeps played along this past week. Perhaps this week's DT offerings will inspire you.

Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the time at home crafting and join our sketch challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday May 22, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

Flowery holidays

Christmas cards on 80 something degree days!! Something seems wrong with this picture. Not if you want to get a head start on your holiday cards. I do not have many floral Christmas stamps, so when I saw this Simon Says Stamp Stamptember collaboration with Gina K, I knew I had to buy this set. It is a perfect image to color in.

Today's challenge at Christmas 24 is:

A perfect opportunity to get this new stamp set inky. To color in my poinsettia, I used my Zig clean color brushes.

I embossed the image in gold to add elegance to this CAS card.

You have two weeks to get Christmas flower stamps ink and to play along with us at Christmas 24!!

Hi friend!

Finally season appropriate weather. We had a warm winter and a cold spring, but today we are looking at temps in the 80s!! To bad I have to work.

Today is a new challenge at CAS on Friday. We are asking you to use a

DIE

For me this was a no brainer. I had this word die I have been wanting to use and the tulip stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I have wanted to try this technique which I am sure came from Jennifer Maguire. Stars in alignment. A beautiful thing.

I sent this card to my bestie. I have not seen her for several weeks do to that nasty virus. ni wanted her to know how much I miss her.

Time to riffle through your dies and make a your CAS card and share it with us at  CAS on Friday    You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Another birthday card

Thursday..... one more day till Friday...... almost the weekend...... yipee!!!! With the restructuring of our unit because of Covid, I now work 5 days in a row, where I used to work 4 days. That extra day is a killer for me. WAAAAAAA I want my old life back!! Something I think that I am not alone in thinking.

Today is a special Thursday because a new challenge comes out at Cardz 4 Galz. This is a special challenge because it is my choice. The theme is:

BIRTHDAYS

One can never have enough birthday cards. At least that is what I think. But hey what do I know? Maybe you don't agree, but I have an inkling (haha pun intended) that you do know what I mean.

Today's card uses "let's celebrate" from Paper Smooches and "stop, drop, party" from Simon Says Stamp.  Pink and green make me happy! Two of my favorite colors. Some yellow for contrast, some bling and this CAS card is complete.

Come and join us at my birthday theme challenge at Cardz 4 Galz . You have two weeks to enter the fun!

Puss in Boots

Happy Monday. Another week gone by in our Covid world. Things seem to be calming down at the hospital I work at. The Covid cases are decreasing. We did our first Covid endoscopy case this past week.

I look like I am ready for  a moon walk. "Ground control to Major Tom". It takes a team to get you suited up and a team to get you unsuited.

Let's put Covid behind us for a while and play along at  Inky Paws  for their springy color challenge.

Pink, mint green white and black.

These were rather difficult colors for me, but I am always ready for a challenge.

My card today uses some new stamp sets from Newton's Nook- Newton's Rain boots, Bokeh stencil, and frames and flag die set. I love the cute little ducks quacking up around Newton!!

Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the time at home crafting and join our color challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play with our color challenge at Inky Paws! Violet vs. Purple

Violet hippos under a violet sun?!!? Who knew. But they sure look like they are having fun huh? The question is will we be able to frolic at the beach this summer? My brother has a place at the beach and the plan was for me to spend the week there in July. That's all up in the air right now. Fingers crossed!!

May 1 means a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.  This month's color is violet.

This month at The Rainbow Card Challenge, we are asking you to create a monochromatic card using violet. I know the question you are thing is "What is the difference between purple and violet?" Well here is a short video to answer this very question.

I guess that answers the question, huh?

Those adorable hippos are from Clearly Besotted- "Seasonal Lineup". This set has a lot of fun images.

This month's musical inspiration is from an Irish Band- Blackmore's Night. The song is "Under a Violet Moon"

You have all month to play along with our violet color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.
