Love you so much

Happy Monday all! We  are looking at some snow arriving in southeastern Pa. I hate snow when I have to go to work. The older I get the more I hate the cold wintery weather. Send me down south!

Today is our second week at Inky Paws for our fun color challenge.

Teal, red, pink, and white. Are you like me- I have the worse time in distinguishing teal from say aqua.

Today's card features "Floral Fringe" from Newton's Nook. I also used the Darling Hearts" dies set also from Newton's Nook.

I hope you will join us for our lovely color at Inky Paws.  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is  Friday, January 29, 2021 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

the hardest cards......

Sympathy cards, aren't they the hardest cards to make? A card just doesn't seem like enough when someone suffers a loss of a love one. But you know what they do make a difference. I know they made me feel better when my brother died last year. (It's hard to believe that it is just about a year since my oldest brother Bill passed from esophageal cancer.)

Today, we start a new challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. Its a sophisticated color challenge.

Doesn't adding gold make everything classy?

Today's card features a the daisy stencil from Simon Says Stamp. Perfect for a quick and easy card. You can just as easily swap the the sympathy sentiment for a get well of thank you or birthday. So versatile.

Resourceful

Where there is a will, there is a way. I am not the most digi stamp savvy, but I did manage to make this adorable polar critter lineup using digi images from our sponsor at Cupcake Inspirations,  Paper Pixel Prints. I had the worse time printing the images on my cheapest and thinnest card stock. My printer kept jamming. I finally printed this image on text weight paper and adhered it to card stock and colored the image so in. We crafters are resourceful, dontcha think?

This is our second week challenging you to use "Arctic Critters" on your creations. Be sure to check out our sponsor- Paper Pixel Prints.

I am dreaming of........

Welcome 2021 at Christmas 24! It is a whole year of new challenges to get you started on next year's Christmas cards. I will tell you come the past December, I was so happy to have the stash of Christmas cards from the Christmas 24 challenges to get me started.

Today's challenge could be a tough one for some of you. White on white. I have to say,I make quite a few white on white cards. it is the essence of CAS to me. the trouble is photographing them. LOL!!

Today's card I just went though my stash for dies and embossing folders that I thought would work. I encourage you to do the same.

I decided today to supply a bit of musical inspiration, Even though I do not listen to Christmas music after the 25th, I will make an exception to inspire you all!

Sip sip

While when you think cozy you probably think snuggling up with someone you love. Don't be so quick though. I think there is nothing cozier than a mug of hot chocolate on a cold cold day.And if you are sharing that warm chocolatey drink with someone you love..... well it don't get much better than that!!

You still have one week to play along with our "cozy winter" theme at Inky Paws.

My card today features "Cup of Cocoa" from Newton's Nook.  Hey have any of you ever had ice cream in your hot chocolate? My BFF turned me onto that and all I can say sip sip, slurp, slurp, yum yum!!

I hope you will join us for our cozy winter challenge at Inky Paws.  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

PIXEL PAPER PRINTS

Prize: 3 Sets of Digital Stamps to a lucky winner

*(Be sure to read and follow our Rules to be eligible to win)*

For many years, I worked as a designer in the infant and children fashion industry. I specialized in producing “cute things” and have a lot of experience designing prints and patterns. I realized that I could apply my knowledge to graphic design and illustration and share my creations with others. In the spring of 2011, I opened Pixel Paper Prints and have greatly enjoyed the Etsy experience!

I absolutely love crafts! Everything I design is done while thinking about people similar to me...those who like to create, experiment, and transform. :)

My hope is that you find graphics that make you smile and inspire you to create.

I keep a stash of all kinds of cards except get well. So this was a good way to get started. I wanted to try for something different than the usual flowers so I went through my stamps till I found this set from Paper Smooches.

This is bound to put a smile on someone's face!

Flowers for guys

Happy 2021 everyone!!! Boy, 2020 sure took us for a wild ride!! One that I am not sure is completely over yet. But here's hoping!!!

Today starts a whole new year of monochromatic color challenges at The Rainbow Card Challenge. This month's featured color is all about neutrals. i had to admit, I did go on line to see exactly what colors constitute neutrals. I was thinking just greys, beige browns, but it turns out, muted blues are considered neutral.

I really tried to think a bit outside the box with this challenge and decided to try a flower stamp with theses neutral colors. I've created a masculine card with a feminine twist. Almost an oxymoron huh?

For my card, I used this well inked stamp set from Clearly Besotted, "Scene it Flowers"

You have the month of January to play along with our neutral color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. I cannot wait to see what you come up with!!
