No peaking, bunny watching

Santa isn't the only one who doesn't want you peaking. Don't be peaking at the Easter bunny or you might only find hard stale peeps in your basket.

Time for another challenge at Inky Paws. This week we are hosting a sketch challenge.

Easter is right around the corner. It won't be the same this year, but we will do what must be done to get this virus behind us. My Easter blessings include a bit more time in my studio to craft, my family remains healthy and while work remains crazy, we are in a pandemic routine.

My card features these products from Newton's Nook- Hop into SpringNewton's Curious ChristmasPetite flower stencil, Land Borders die, and Frames and Flag die set.

For my card I cut the bunny out to fit behind the grass. Think outside the box with your stamps.

You have two weeks to play with our sketch challenge at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday,April 10, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

Easter fun

How are all of you managing in our new world? I am trying to stay positive. One thing that helps with that is my studio. It is the place I retreat to when I need to take care of myself. I hope that all of you have a similar area to retreat from the craziness.
Pastel pink, pale yellow, baby blue, and light purple.

Today is a reminder that you still have one more week to play along with our springy and Eastery color challenge at Inky Paws.

Today's card features Newton's Easter Basket from Newton's Nook. It is so much fun to color in Easter eggs. I know you are wondering about the embossed confetti background. The folder is from the discount bin at Michael's. With my copic markers I colored each bit of confetti in. Believe me it was a labor of love.

Today is a new challenge at Christmas 24. The theme is Christmas Trees. I love Christmas trees and use them quite a bit in my work. My last post featured Christmas trees. Everyone has a Christmas tree or two or three or a gazillion like me in their stash!! LOL!!

The tree set I used today is a Papertrey Ink set that I actually bought at Simon Says stamp. They are carrying some PTI stamps which makes me very happy.

Taste of spring

Here is southeast Pennsylvania we have had a taste of spring. Sunny days with temps in the mid to high 60s. I have been so happy. The older I get the less I like the cold weather, Give me warm sunny days all the time!

This challenge at Cardz 4 Galz is just in keeping with my thoughts of spring.

SPRING FLOWERS

This weeks theme was chosen by Sue. Yay Sue and thanks!! What an awesome challenge.

My CAS card uses one of my favorite sets from Lawn Fawn- "Simply Celebrate".  I added some stitched embossing from Ellen Hutson. This card makes me happy and it was a great blueprint for some other spring flower cards.

You have two weeks to play along at Cardz 4 Galz and show us your spring flowers!

lemons and life

This has actually been a fun challenge over at Inky Paws. The theme is pretty polka dots. Ya gotta give it the dots. As you can see they are quite versatile and the team as well as those who have played along so far have created some really cool things.

My card today uses the "Lemon Twist" from Newton's Nook. This set has lots of fun puns to go with the fun lemon stamps.

I love ice tea and lemonade. It is my go to drink, but growing up my mom said you could never have ice tea when the wind blows, so from November to May we never had ice tea. Even now that I am a grown up and can do what ever I want, I  just can't bring myself to have ice tea when the "wind blows". I might just have to "squeeze the day" and have a glass of "half and half".

You have two weeks to play with this polka dot challenge at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

Dude!!

Happy Friday!! Yay!! The weekend is here, lots of time to stamp! It is also time for a new challenge at CAS on Friday.

So what do we have in store for you this week? It is an awesome challenge! The theme is:

BOYS AND THEIR TOYS

How fun is that? I know I can always use a male card.

Last summer there were a bunch of surfboard stamps being released. The "summer surfboards" from Pretty Pink Posh caught my eye and they were the ones I bought.

What fun to color in these vibrant boards.

I hope you will join in the fun and make a CAS card featuring a "boy and his toys". PLease make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Our winner will be the guest designer for the next challenge at CAS on Friday!!

Jaws

Happy Monday! Time for a new challenge at Inky Paws! It was awesome to see how many of you that joined in the fun for our last challenge. Lots of great cards.

Today's challenge was a challenge for me. We are asking you to use polka dots in your work. Now I just love polka dots, but was having trouble figuring out how that would fit into Newton's Nook stamps and dies. So what did I do? I cheated and did paper piecing.

I have a couple of go to stamp sets and "Shark Bites" from Newton's Nook is one of them. The grey polka dot sharks make me laugh. The waves were also from NN.

Yuletide greetings

Happy March! One month closer to Christmas!! LOL!! But it is never to soon to work on your holiday cards. Over at Christmas 24 we have a twice a month Christmas card challenge to help you kick start your holiday cards with a variety of fun challenges.

Today's challenge is a color challenge. We are challenging you to use red, green, and gold.

I notice many of my cards have Christmas trees on them. I must love trees!! 😀

Nothing like gold polka dot snowflakes falling gently down. Are you wondering where my red is? That's a fair question. The balls on my trees are red stickles. This card uses one of my favorite tree stamps from Clearly Besotted- "Joy to the World", which unfortunately is no longer available.

So head over to Christmas 24 and join in the fun and show off those quintessential Christmas colors, red, green, and gold.
