I heart Tangle Tuesday

So sorry for not posting.... no excuses except that I wasn't sure if amnyone looked at blogs these days, what with so much social media out there. But, I have been told some folks aren't on "gasp" social media!! So my blogging is for them!!

Not only is it Valentine's Day, but it is Tangle Tuesday! Therefore I have a twofer for you!! The tile is from Marguerite Samama's Valentangle class on Sunday. The piece combines my card making with Zentangle. I heart all of you and appreciate all the  comments from everyone!! #valentangle23, #happytangling.

Tangle Tuesday

Happy Tangle Tuesday! I have been working on a Valentine string for an intro to Zentangle class.

Students love seeing a tile fit into a design. I think when I made my sample I way over complicated it!! LOL!!

Still, I love how the tiles fit together and I like the idea of one colored and one not. Kinda fun.

Tangle Tuesday

Happy Tangle Tuesday!! After the holidays , I always get into a crafting slump. Like to much food and drink, I am satiated with pens, pencils, stamps, paper, dies and all things crafty. What usually helps get me out of that slump is work on Valentine's cards.

Today's tangle is a valentine tile. I love the look of red, black and white on a tan tile. So striking.

Hope you all are getting some love into your crafting!

You had me at meow

One week to go till love, love , love day. You procrastinators out there, you need to pull out the stamps. paper, ink, glitter, gems etc etc and get cracking!

You have one more week to play along with our heart theme at Inky Paws.

Today's Valentine for that special dude in my life- George uses the following supplies from Newton's Nook.  "Newton's Sweetheart", bokeh heart stencil, and heart dies.

Today's video is inspired by hugging- I love to hug. It's my jam and it was difficult during covid, but people are relaxing and just sometimes they let me hug them.

You have the rest of the week to share your heart at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is  Friday February 11, 2021 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at  Inky Paws.

This card reminds me of my hubby and I except I have brown hair and hubby has blond and these two kids are about 40 years younger than George and I. OK...... so maybe they are nothing like us, but I thought they were cute and George and I do love a good hug! The image is from our sponsor- Digi Doodle Studios.

The key to a boy's heart

This card should have had a snow plow on it, for all the snow we got on Saturday. It was so nice to just hunker down and watch it fall and not worry about going anywhere. While the snow is so pretty, I still can't wait for the 50 degree days expected at the end of the week.

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. A challenge to help you get those Valentine cards done. we are looking for you to use heart(s) in your creations.

My card today features the "Love Quarry" by Newton's Nook. The heart hills are also from Newton's Nook. This CAS card was easy to make and you could make the same card and just add a different truck on each card. Great Valentine for that special; guy in your life or for the wee boys in your life. (what boy doesn't like a truck?)

Today's music inspiration is about trucks and love. The only folks that can do a love song about love and trucks are our country friends. So, here is Brad singing about "Mud on the Tires".

Be my meow-entine

Mornin" folks. Happy Monday! It's just another long weekend for this retired gal. I still have to think about which day of the week it is. LOL!!

Today is a reminder week that you have one more week to play along with our sketch challenge at Inky Paws. If you are stumped, turn the sketch on it's head. Maybe you will be inspired like me. I have to day I am partial to vertical cards. How about you? Vertical or horizontal? What's your preference?

I am getting started on my Valentine cards and this cute little feline was making me happy. My card today uses "Newton's Valentine". "Tumbling Hearts stencil" and, the "Frames and Flag" die set all from Newton's Nook.

Your musical inspiration is the most popular love song ever. Which is a very subjective thing, but this song was in the top ten if not number one on most play lists. Here it is! A shout out to Whitney.

This surely has to get you in the mood!

Love birds

Yet another Valentine card to share with you. Something old, some new, and something.... mauve? Today starts a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.

We are asking to use "mostly mauve". Mauve is a hard color to figure out. It's a pale purpley color. Looks more pinkish rose to me.

For my card today I used the "Heart Sprinkle" die by Simon Says Stamp, and the "Love Birds" By Wplus9. (no longer available)

I didn't even bother to look for songs with mauve in the title, if we cant figure out exactly what color it is, we really can't write a song about it huh? So today's musical inspiration is one of my top 10 most romantic songs out there.

A Thousand Years by Christine Perri

You have all month to play along with our intriguing mauve challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. And I would love to know what your favorite love song is?
