warp speed

Welcome to a new year of challenges at CAS on Friday. I hope that 2021 is a CAS year, because 2020 was so not CAS!

The first challenge for the year is:

GET WELL

I keep a stash of all kinds of cards except get well. So this was a good way to get started. I wanted to try for something different than the usual flowers so I went through my stamps till I found this set from Paper Smooches.

This is bound to put a smile on someone's face!

You have two weeks to share your get well cards with us at CAS on Friday!

Good nurse, bad nurse

I am a nurse, so I am allowed to talk about bad nurses. But that's the thing nurses aren't bad. In fact for the 18th year running nurses were voted as the most trusted profession in the Gallop poll. The only year nurses came in second was 2011 when first responders came in as number one.

I still cracked up over the image though. Everyone can use a laugh when they are sick. It is true that laughter is the best medicine.

Today is the start of a new challenge at CAS on Friday. Today's theme is:

GET WELL

I do not have many get well stamp sets and can honestly say for all the cards I send out, I rarely send a get well card. But I did have this very funny Art Impressions stamp set. The "bad nurse" really made me chuckle.

My brother is in the hospital after having surgery and I will be sending this card to him.

Check out what the  CAS on Friday team came up with and play along. You have till Wednesday February 5, 6:00 PM Dutch Time to enter.

The Male Room Challenge: Neon

I am going out on a limb with this card and that you all aren't getting grossed out by my card. It is a bit of a pun and I hope you get it.

This week at The Male Room challenge is to use neon colors. For a change I knew exactly what I was going to do. I had an unusual assortment of insect stamps for an insect board book I made for a friend. Guys don't want a cutesy flowery get well card. They are tough and can take something creepy and crawly.

For my neon colors, I used all the Hero Arts neon inks. I don't get to use them very often, so this was a great opportunity to dust the pads off and ink some stamps up.

Soooooo....... pull out your neon inks, markers, pencils or paints. dust them off and get your neon on!

Show us how you neon at The Male Room!
