RUT RO!!

Good morning all! Happy May Day!! Today starts a new challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge!! I almost forgot to post my card. My teamies and boss would not be happy with me. Hopefully they are sleeping in and I will have this posted before they notice!!

The color for May is "positively periwinkle". An unusual color that isn't quite blue and it isn't quite purple. I had to search my stash for inks and pens that would fit the bill.

My card today uses a fun set from Lawn Fawn called "plane and simple". Perfect for a guy card. The periwinkle dots were once white that I transformed using a copic marker. This is a good tip to change the color of gems, pearls and dots.

Because I am so late this morning, I am skipping the musical inspiration Check out The Rainbow Card Challenge and be sure to search your stash for all things periwinkle and join the fun!!

Sunny days

I have been stuck on a theme lately and it involves clouds, the sun and anything that relates to them. Bare with me, you may not have seen the end to this theme. I will at least try to shake it up a bit each time.

Soooooo, today's card is based on the new challenge at The Male Room. We are asking you to add a tag to your project. I love tags. I have a HUGE box full of them. My card is loosely based on a card with a tag that Laura Bassen made for the new online card class MASK-erade.

I have a couple of theses sun ray stamps that were so hot (pun intended) last summer. My sunshine is from Mama Elephant and I love this set because it has the best sentiments in it.

The cute little plane is from my new favorite company- Lawn Fawn- Bon Voyage .

ooooooh...... what's peaking out from inside the card?

Now it is your turn to show us how you will use a tag on your best masculine card! Please join us at the Male room!

Bon Voyage!

This is Memorial Day weekend, the official start to the summer!! Yee haaa!!!! I thought it appropriate to make a Bon Voyage card and Simon Says Stamp cooperated by having a challenge that call for travel or vacation cards.

I am also entering this at Addicted to Stamps- where anything goes this week!

This card uses a very old but always well inked-Hero Arts vertical cloud. It is so old, I could only find it on e-bay. the bon voyage definition is also from Hero arts and the plane is a fav from Papertrey Ink.

Wishing all of you a happy start to your summer!!
