Twofer

Happy October all!! Geez! Where is the time going? Do you live your life by deadlines, like I do? I go from one deadline to the next. I have to have this card done by this date, I have to have my blog posted by this date, my outline is due by this date, I have to bake a cake by this date. you get the idea. Tell me I am not alone here!

The new challenge at Inky Paws is a very in keeping with the October- a color challenge!

To me these colors just said Halloween. It gave me a chance to play with some new stamps from Newton's Nook. For my card today I used the "Halloween trio stamp set and matching die set which came with this awesome "trick or treat" die that I am using like crazy. I die cut about a gazillion "trick or treats" from a piece of black cardstock and adhere them to a black card base die cut from "Frameworks"die set. I stamped, colored, and diecut the trio of Halloweeners. The "boo" card they are each holding were stamped separately and cut, colored, and popped up.

When I was done and cleaning up, I noticed the piece of cardstock that I cut all the trick or treats from. I couldn't throw it away. it was just too cool. So I used it as a background for another card.

The moral of this story, is never throw anything away!!

So head onto over to Inky Paws and join in this fun sketch challenge. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is Friday October 12, 2018, at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

Hey Sue,
That card is fantastic! I just love those three Halloween critters especially the kitty cat. Unfortunately both the stamp set and the die are out of stock. I did sign up to be notified when they come back in.

So cool! I love that you used the scrap cut out piece to create a second card! The messy look is perfect for Halloween!
