Final Festive Challenge

Christmas will be quite interesting this year with our two rugrats. While they are full grown physically they are still kittens mentally and are going through their terrible twos! I am not sure we can even decorate the tree this year, Miss Pixie will be climbing the tree and knocking everything off. Any cat owners have some advice, other then forgoing the tree this year.

They look so innocent, don't they? Don't be fooled by those sweet faces!!

I am sadden to say that this will be the last challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. We have had a good run, but all good things must end. I hope that you will give us a rousing farewell and play along with our festive rainbow challenge.

My card today features a festive rainbow of cats featured on the stamp set "Meowy Christmas" from Simon Says Stamp.

Radical rainbow

June 1!! The start of summer!! Yippee!!! I love summer! I am a warm weather girl. No freezing temps, snow, sleet, and cold windy days for this gal. Give me hot, lazy days with the occasional thunderstorm and I am happy! How about you guys? Are you cold weather or hot. 

Since it is a new month, we have a new challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. We are asking you to create a radical rainbow. Bright in your face colors that scream rainbow!

 Today's card features a coveted die from Concord and 9th. "Birthday Perfect Pairings". When this die is in stock grab it, because it sells out as soon as it is back in stock everywhere!

Birthday sketch

 Happy Monday! Today is a reminder week at Inky Paws. You have one more week to join the fun with our sketch challenge.

Today I went straight up literal with my approach to the sketch. Nothing clever or unusual.

My card features a festive pup from Newton's Nook. I went for a bright  rainbow party look. This card couldn't be more easy.

Welcome baby

 Happy Friday everyone. So glad the week is over and I have the weekend to look forward to. Rainbows seem to be the "in thing" for card making these days. Everyone has a rainbow, stamp, stencil and or die. I know have a plethora of all kinds of rainbows. And I have yet to actually make a rainbow colored rainbow!

Today is a new challenge at CAS on Friday and the timing could not be more perfect!

One of my staff just had a baby and I needed a baby card. 

Since she had a boy- blue rainbows it was gonna be.

Luck Leprechaun

 

March 1, my thoughts turn to Irish potatoes, shamrocks, leprechauns, green beer, and spring. But March 1 also means a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. 

This month's color is jade. A rich green with a bluish hint to it.

My card today feature's rainbow stencil from Erin Lee. rainbows seem to be quite popular these days. the fun thing about the Erin Lee stencil is comes with two rainbows. One for a vertical card and one for a horizontal card. The cute wee leprechaun is from Pretty Pink Posh. This is my go to set for St. Patrick's Day.

 

This month's musical inspiration is one of favorite Irish songs. Come on Eileen by Dexys Midnight Runners.

Rainbow Christmas?!!? All I can say if Lauren Bassen can do it, so can I!! Rainbows make such a cheery and festive holiday card, dontcha think?

The Rainbow Card Challenge wants you to put your holiday rainbow on and create a fun, colorful and festive card.

My colorful and festive card features a well inked stamp set that my bestie gave to me in one of her purges. The merry rainbow is Simon Says Stamp's "Coolest Yule". 

Sooooo..... musical inspiration.... I usually go with the color theme, but for this month, I want to go with some holiday and festive. My video inspiration will make you chuckle. It is keeping with my card theme.

She's a rainbow

Every once in awhile you make a card and you just sit back and think "Wow!!! I made that!" Well... that is exactly how I feel about this card. I just love the pastel rainbow of flamingos. It just makes me smile. besides, who doesn't love a rainbow?!!? Laura Bassen has made a career out of rainbows!!

That is why I expect lots of players this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge!! All month long we want you to use a pastel rainbow in your creations.

I used Rubbernecker's "Splash Party". Disclaimer here- this is a tricky stamp to use. It took me several tries to get the beaks in place. You all think we designers just whip out our cards, but you never see all the cards in the trash. This perfect sentiment is from Altenew's "Birds of a Feather". 

Today's music inspiration is a classic from The Stones- The Rolling Stones: "She's a Rainbow".

Have you ever made a card that just really made you smile. That is how I felt about this card. It just makes me happy. Something we can sure use these days!

Comeon there could be a more fun and whimsical challenge. Who doesn't love a cute animals. Geez, I have tons of cute animal stamps. It was hard trying to decide which set to use. Then I just decided I had to use this adorable new set from Reverse Confetti- "Crafty Critters".

Happy Thursday everyone! One day closer to the weekend! Yay!! Today is a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz! This one was a bit tough for me and I had to dig through my stamp sets to find an appropriate stamp.
I  found a very, very, very old Papertrey Ink set, that is sadly no longer available. Lo and behold
the cutest boot was in the set with a great sentiment.
