Getting a bit of a head start on my Easter cards with our reminder post today at Cupcake Inspirations.
This funny bunny made me giggle. Even though the colors don't scream spring, this card seems somehow springy to me.

No peaking, bunny watching

Santa isn't the only one who doesn't want you peaking. Don't be peaking at the Easter bunny or you might only find hard stale peeps in your basket.

Time for another challenge at Inky Paws. This week we are hosting a sketch challenge.

Easter is right around the corner. It won't be the same this year, but we will do what must be done to get this virus behind us. My Easter blessings include a bit more time in my studio to craft, my family remains healthy and while work remains crazy, we are in a pandemic routine.

My card features these products from Newton's Nook- Hop into SpringNewton's Curious ChristmasPetite flower stencil, Land Borders die, and Frames and Flag die set.

For my card I cut the bunny out to fit behind the grass. Think outside the box with your stamps.

You have two weeks to play with our sketch challenge at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday,April 10, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

That's why it's a challenge-take two

Last week you all had to listen to me whine about the color challenge at Inky Paws. I was crying the blues about how difficult the color challenge was. Waaaa waaa waa.... Time to grow up and get out the Catherine Pooler inks.

I find myself reaching for Newton's Nook's "cottage garden". It has a great selection of stamps that I can use in a variety of situations.

I grabbed the bunny and stamped it in the required colors. How cute they look in these pastel colors.  I don't know about you but argyle is more spring than winter. Newton's Nook's argyle stencil was the perfect addition to the bunnies. the sentiment comes from Newton's Nook's "spring pile up" stamp set.

I love to use my dies in different ways. The scalloped border on my card was done with the "frames and flags" set from Newton's Nook.

Head on over to Inky Paws and join in this challenging color challenge. Stretch yourself and your creativity! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is Friday, April 5, 2019 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

The Male Room Challenge #31 Easter

My sincere apologies to my team at The Male Room. I totally missed our deadline this week. I have never ever done this before. I could make a gazillion excuses and they might all be accurate but the bottom line is I forgot. I had my card made, photographed but I just plain forgot to write my blog.

The challenge this time is Easter. I have barely started on my Easter cards, except for the few I have done for challenges. For my card today, I used an adorable stamp from Endless Creations that I picked up at last years Heirloom Rubber Stamp Convention.

It couldn't have been simpler especially since I have been crazy busy lately. I stamped the word bubble from one of those cheapie dollar stamps that you can get at the big box craft stores. I thought I had some some cotton puffs for the tail but could not find them (another item that probably went in a purge!) so i just used a pearl. Desperate times......

So don't be like me and miss the boat on this fun challenge but get out your bunnies, eggs and chicks and get crafting and share with us at The Male Room!!

Think Outside the Box!

I am going to make a confession to all of you. I really don't like sketch challenges. Usually they involve to many layers of paper that I really don't do anymore. But then I realize I always take these challenges too literally. I think it it has to look exactly like the sketch. As I have said before it's a challenge because it's a challenge- get it? So my personal challenge was to make a CAS card with minimal layers BASED on the sketch. I wouldn't deviate so much that you you would not see the sketch in my card.

This is the sketch challenge this week at Just Us Girls-

I found myself with a free Sunday last weekend and I took a road trip down the shore with my favorite peeps to the only remaining stamp store within a days drive- One Little Spark. I am supposed to be on an austerity budget, but to be in an actual stamp store, well forget that! One of the sets that I bought was from Lawn Fawn- Happy Easter.  Such fun bunnies in this set!

So I am issuing you a challenge, think outside the box with the sketch this week and be sure to share it with all of us at Just Us Girls!!

Some bunny? Yes, the Easter bunny!

It's not like me to purchase something and then never use it. I always try to use what I buy within a month of the purchase. But this poor little bunny die from Papertrey Ink must have got put away and never saw my BigShot.

I was so happy to see that today's challenge at Simple Create Too was featuring bunnies! I saw this photo on Pinterest and there was my inspiration for today's card!  I immediately pulled this little guy out. I die cut him three times and using a new stencil from Memory Box- textured mini dots sponged some Eastery colors. The bunnies wee tails were die cut from felt and colored with orresponding copic colors.

What a fun clean and simple card! I think this will be the card I send out this year!!

I hope you will share your wonderful creations over at Simple Create Too! I love seeing what all of you do, it always inspires me!

Some bunny loves you...

St. Patrick's Day is over and I only have 2 weeks to get my Easter cards done. The perfect inspiration was over at Less Is More. They are having a challenge using frames.

I took the saying "somebunny loves you" and made a frame with it. Thank God for clear stamps! I added an image from StampinUp's Everybunny set that I got free after hosting a party. The bow is made from glitter paper colored with copic markers. I am not sure how well the glitter shows up in the photo.

Expect more Easter cards over the next few weeks,
