Tangle Tuesday

Happy Tangle Tuesday! I have been working on a Valentine string for an intro to Zentangle class.

Students love seeing a tile fit into a design. I think when I made my sample I way over complicated it!! LOL!!

Still, I love how the tiles fit together and I like the idea of one colored and one not. Kinda fun.

Raindrops

Happy Heart Day everyone! I hope you are getting to spend the day just the was you want to. I came across a blogger that wrote how she spends her Valentin's day every year with a bag of Zesty cheese Doritos!! You go girl! I will be spending it with my sweetie George.

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. A nice spring color challenge. Something to remind you that winter will be over at some point. Yellow, spring green, pink, and white.

Since it Valentine's day, I did use the heart frame dies from Newton's Nook in my card design. I also used the petite flower stencil and the "Loads of Blooms" stamp set.

Today's music inspiration is "Raindrops are Falling on my Head" by BJ Thomas. This song is dedicated to a good friend Anna Marie. She and I would sing this song to our pts. Don't ask why this song, it was one we could really harmonize to, I guess.

You have two weeks to get your springy colors on at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is  Friday February 25, 2021 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at  Inky Paws.

My card today uses "Frozen Friends" from Newton's Nook. I love a good snowman set and this one covers lots of wintery occasions.

CASing Sandy

I came across this video from Sandy Allnock sometime after Christmas and the bright colors on her cards really intrigued me.

I watched it and immediately had to play. I pulled out my color burst powders and created my own bright backgrounds.

I decided these warm reds would make a perfect Valentine card. I won't describe the process, please watch the video.

CAS on Sunday is challenging us to use hearts in our work, so I am entering this. card.

Try your hand at this awesome technique and play along at CAS on Sunday!
