Snow Much

Happy New Year  everyone! Here's to 2022 being an improvement over 2021! I don't know about you all, but every year after the holidays I find myself in a crafting rut. The holidays just suck the creativity out of me. It takes a few weeks to get my mojo back.

Today starts the first challenge for 2022 at Inky Paws. This is a great color challenge, guaranteed to help you get your mojo back! We are looking for you to use candy red, white, brown, and grey in your creations.

My card today uses the "Snowman Roundabout" stamp set and the Plaid stencil set,  both from Newton's Nook. Don't the challenge colors work perfectly with this stamp set and stencil?

How about some musical inspiration to start out the new year right.

Did any of you have the opportunity to join in the "plaid" challenge at Inky Paws last week? If not you still have one more week to join the fun. Who doesn't love a plaid. Halloween is over and the slide into Christmas starts with Thanksgiving. Time to get started!

My card today I used the gingham stencil from Newton's Nook. To add interestl I just turned the stencil upside down to create the lattice look and I then added the black lines for an accent. The image is from "Autumn Newton" by Newton's Nook.

Hipster ghosts

I am thinking some where in Brooklyn there are hipster ghosts hanging out!! Today's fun tongue in cheek card is inspired by the new challenge at CAS on Friday.

We are asking you to use PLAID on your CAS card. Since Halloween is just a week or two away, all I am making is spooky cards.

My card uses a very old Sizzix ghost die set. I use this die every year. The saying is from Ellen Hutson.

And if my hipster ghosts do not have enough plaid going on they surrounded by a embossed plaid background.

The next question is, "What did I do with the negative die cut piece? Good question. Waste not want not.

You have two weeks to play along with our PLAID challenge at CAS on Friday!
