Cheers!

Newton's Nook had quite a few fun new Halloween stamps. There was no way I wasn't buying some. Brooms and Boos was at the top of the list. I have several folks who will love this card!

You have one more week to play along with our spooky challenge at Inky Paws.

My card today also uses the spiderweb stencil and the "Spooky Roundabout" from Newton's Nook.

Come and join our spooky Halloween challenge at Inky Paws.  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is  Friday, September 24, 2021 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

Fly by

I have said this before, I love making Halloween cards. I actually end up making more than I send out. Anyone want a Halloween card- just let me know, I am sure I will have a few to spare!

For my card today I am using this month's featured color at The Rainbow Card Challenge. Smokey slate. Very creepy, foreboding, and  eerie.

Today's card features a really cool technique that Kristina Werner showed on her blog in early August. I fell in love with this technique and it was perfect for my spooky card.

I challenge you guys to try this out. You won't be disappointed in the results.

Believe it or not, I have your musical inspiration. Who would have thought there would be a song with "Slate" in the title. There is and here it is to inspire you!

You have the whole month of October to put together your spooky and smokey slate card for The Rainbow Card Challenge. Go for a Halloween card. It will take the guess work out of it!!

Get you boo on

It's never to soon to get your boo on. That's why over at  Inky Paws we are having a Halloween challenge.

I have said before I love making Halloween cards and have almost as many boo stamps as I do Christmas stamps.

Jen at Newton's Nook always comes out with the most fun Halloween stamps and "Witchy Newton" is the best!!! The bats were stenciled from NN's "Flying bats" stencil.

My original plan for this card was to mount it on white card stock and I had the whole bat moon area done, and I did n't want to start over- I know pure laziness. So I did my cheater's thing and using a copic marker in orange around the edges to make it look like it was mounted on orange paper. This is a great idea when you don't have the right color cardstock to layer.

Sooooo get your boo on and head on over to Inky Paws and join in our spooky Halloween challenge. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday, September 20, 2019 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

Flying by to say hi... 2nd post of the day

Oh how I love to make Halloween cards. This year it has been especially fun, because of all the challenges that are asking for Halloween cards I have quite a few to send out to folks.

I just love this witch, I picked it up at the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Convention at one of the booths- I forget which company. The background is a well loved and inked Hero Arts stamp. Sorry not much help with the stamps I am using today.

I am entering this card over at Less is More where they are featuring "witches and wizards" and at Inkspirational where "anything goes".

PS- be sure to check out my first post of the day for a non holiday card!
