Gullfriends

Happy Monday everyone!! Can you believe it? This is the last week of summer. Geez louise!! Where did it go? I had an awesome summer, full of trips to the beach and day trips with the husband. I have no complaints. This was my first summer free after spending the last seven in school.

Inky Paws  is hosting a sketch challenge this week. I knew I had to make it summery.

This fun sketch is just begging for a little scene. Newton's Nook's "Gull friends" was the perfect stamp to use. As I pulled this set out, I was thinking about the sea gulls I saw at the beach at Fenwick Island, Delaware. They were very calm and sweet compared to the aggressive and nasty gulls at the shore in NJ. I used these sweet birds as inspiration for my card.

This guy was just hanging out. To complete my card I used from Newton's Nook, the sea borders dies,  sunscape stencil, and frames and flag die set

Head on over to Inky Paws and join in our scenic looking sketch challenge. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday, September 6, 2019 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

This is a really fun scene! I love how you used the sketch as waves and sky! And the gulls are so cute too!

I love your card! Great minds think alike, the minute I saw the sketch I wanted to make a Gullfriends card LOL, but I didn't want to look like a mimic of yours! Clairex

It's always fun to make cards inspired by our daily lives, especially when we have the perfect stamp for the job. Terrific card!
