Happy Little Stampers CASE the Designer: February Challenge

Hey Everyone! it sure looked like you all really embrace the new CASE the designer challenge at Happy Little Stampers! It was fun huh? So let's see who is designing this month!!

Well if it isn't the fabulous Shona Chambers!! Shona has an adorable card to CASE this month. I know you all are up to the challenge because there is so much you can get out of this card!

It isn't often I know exactly what I am going to do, but today's card was a no brainer! I literally ran and grabbed the "mixmash" set from Happy Little Stampers. 

Isn't it fun!??! I can't wait to give it DH for Valentine's! Even though he is partial to cute critters i think he is going to like the bold graphic detail of this card.

The Male Room Challenge #27 Babies and Little Boys

Oh boy- I mean oh little boy! This card just makes me chuckle. The new challenge at The Male Room this week is "young ones- babies and little boys". All I want to know is does my husband count? He sure is a little boy at times. Ya know what I mean dontcha? I bet some of you ladies have a little boy masquerading as your husband, huh?

I went right to my new fav stamp company for inspiration- Reverse Confetti and pulled out some of their stamps. The set "leaping lions" just leaped into my hands!

 

I hand drew the spring- yeah it is a bit wonky. The rest of the card just came together with Mama Elephants "sentimental borders" and some stenciled stars.

Now I have to find a little boy to send it to or wait until next November to give it my DH. I the meantime check out what the rest of the DT came up with and play along with us at The Male Room!

Blog Hop at Laura's Loft

Hi Everyone!! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I usually lose my creative mojo right after the holidays- to much crafting like drinking can pay a toll on a girl's creativity. But like any good hangover cure (we all have one- mine is LOTS of OJ!!) an awesome blog hop filled with inspiration is just what I need to kick start my mojo!

Sooooo onto my creations!!

I am just lovin' the new "girlfriend" collection by CAS-ual Friday has just released. See yesterday's blog post . Today I am featuring the "love ya" Fri-die. Be sure to check out Laura's shop for all of the new collection. I used my papers as the inspiration for the colors. I die cut the words and colored them with my copic markers. Sometimes it is just easier to let the papers dictate the coloring.

My first attempt at this card was with the words popped up on foam. It just looked liked I was trying to hard.

My next creation uses the "curtis" background and the "love ya" die again from CAS-ual Friday.

I inked the background with Ruby red and coral berry from the Altenew Red Cosmos ink collection. I added glitter to the center heart, because I just read online that glitter is another sure fire cure for a creative hangover!! I am feeling better already!

CAS-Friday's "Girlfriend" release at Laura's Loft

My card today uses the "curtis background" stamp and the "love ya" fri-die. I stamped the curtis background using ruby red, coral berry and frosty pink inks in the Altenew ink set called Red Cosmos that I was able to buy at Laura's Loft.

The Male Room Challenge # 26

Welcome back to the first challenge of 2016 at The Male Room. We are easing you into the new year with an "anything goes" challenge. Me- I find these challenges daunting. There is just too many directions to go in.

Then I remembered a friend of mine showed me a cup from Panera Bread that had a cool design and I decided to use that as my inspiration.

Soooo cool huh! And will wonders be but didn't this stamp set fit the bill perfectly! 

Sometimes the stamping goddess just smiles on you.

This card be a thank you or a great winter birthday. You can just add what ever sentiment you want.

I did add the pop of the red berries. I felt it needed some contrast. So there ya go- any thing goes and any thing can go with this design. I am happy, yep very happy!

Please don't be intimated by the challenge- just go for it and show us what ever you want at The Male Room!!
