As many of you know, we are in the midst of Stamptember at Simon Says Stamp. Every day SSS features a special stamp set by the best stamp companies around. Today is the collaboration of my favorite stamp company- Newton's Nook!
The set is called "Warm and Cozy Wishes" and you can only get it at SSS and when the inventory is gone, that's it folks. So head on over to SSS to get this fun and sweet set.
Welcome to Tangle Tuesday. Today is something a little different. I had a routine ultra sound last week and it showed cholelithiasis- gallstones. Something I didn't know that I had. They certainly don't bother me. But it reminded me of this tile I made and had framed for the medical director of the endoscopy unit I managed. He is a interventional gastroenterologist who specializes in pancreatic-biliary disease. This tile represents the biliary tree.
Happy Monday. Well fall did blow in on Thursday and the weather has been refreshingly cool. Something about being able to put on a sweater makes me happy. Thankful for these little things.
Today we start a new sketch challenge at Inky Paws. I decided to turn the sketch on it's head, being as I am partial to vertical cards.
I am not really familiar with this group- One Direction, but their song "Little Things" is just so sweet.
You have two weeks to play along at our sketch challenge at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate.
Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the
following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the
blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is Friday October 7, 2022 at MN CST. The winners will be announced
on the following Monday at Inky Paws.
Welcome to Fragment Friday. I am calling my tile this week "Under the Big Top". Patty picked the fragment this week. A wee bit more to this one than last weeks. Charlie Cote is a fellow Zentangle friend will be joining us for FF.
I just love making Halloween cards, I think I have mentioned this a time or two before. LOL!! The colors for the challenge at Inky Paws were perfect for a weener card.
There is still time to play along at Inky Paws for our fallish color challenge. Orange, lime green, black, and cream. We haven't had much action for this challenge and I don't understand. These are great colors. So much can be done with them.
Today's musical inspiration is called "A summer song" but really it's about the end of summer and fall starting. Perfect for this time of year.
You have one more week for our color challenge at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate.

Hi everyone!! It's Tangle Tuesday. Today's work was a labor of love. I took a class on accordion books from Vintage Page Designs. This spinning accordion book was a bit tricky but so cool when it finally worked out.
My book is about doorways and each panel is a different door. I had to draw eight doors, for four panels!
This spinning book is a great way to display your basic Zentangle tiles also. More to come on that.
Good day folks. What a sad week. The beloved Queen Elizabeth has died. My mom was such a fan, you might even say she was her girl crush. Minutes after I heard she died, my brother called me to tell about her passing. We both said that mom was probably at the pearly gates waiting to welcome Elizabeth.
Today we have a new challenge for you at Inky Paws. the colors we would like you to use are orange, lime green, black, and cream. getting into those fall and Halloween cards. Expect a bunch of them from me in the next month or so!
Today's musical inspiration is in honor of Elizabeth II. God bless the Queen.

Welcome back to Fragment Friday! Today's fragment was hosted by my buddy Patty. We are studying Fagment E4. I spent several hours working this one out until I had something I was happy with. I photographed it and when I was reviewing the images, I just wasn't happy. So like any good crafter- I added bling! And my heart sang!
This week Newton's Nook is featuring all of the Inky Paws design team on their blog! The week will be full of inspiration using products from Newton's Nook. I am excited to share my creation today using products from Newton's Nook. Make sure you check out the NN Blog each day to see what my fellow DT has to share.
The loss of a pet is so hard and making a pet sympathy card can be so difficult. The trick is to keep it simple. For my card today, I die cut a heart from the heart frames die set. I then stenciled a rainbow of stripes using the "Retro Sun and Palm" stencil set. (This is favorite of mine for the stripes, which I use in a variety of ways) I die cut a scalloped panel using the "Frames and Flag" set. To add some needed texture I embossed the panel using the "Tumbling Hearts" stencil. This is great way to get double duty from your stencils. I didn't have a specific pet sympathy sentiment, so I added a sentiment "Thinking of you" from the Floral Roundabout set. You don't need specific sentiments. You can always find something in your stash that will work. I die cut my cat and have him/her crossing the rainbow bridge. Newton's Nook also has dog silhouettes dies.
Be sure to check out the Newton's Nook blog for more Inky Paws inspiration! Also, don't forget to visit Newton's Nook to see all the products I used today and you will find even more to inspire you. Let me know what are your "go to" NN products!
