Well I got up at 5:00 am to pickup Bev, Pat and Judy for a road trip to the Queen's Ink in Savage Md. for a class with Stamp Zia's Zana Clark. Now she isn't my cup of tea but the class was AWESOME!! We made a no sew wall hanging. It was the fastest 4 hour class I have ever taken. We all made amazing stuff.
The Queen's Ink is a great store. The store is nestled in amongst other fun and crafty stores. There is a fabric and quilt store, a bead store, an antique mart and lots of other fun and eclectic type shops.
Patty the owner is a delightful person and made us Northeners welcome. The store has lots of everything and the artwork on display is amazing. The class room is spacious.
Rumor has it that Timmy might be coming to teach. I'm there.
The only glitch in the day was lunch- the worst possible service I have ever had in a restaurant. We waited over a half hour to order then another half hour to get our food. When it did arrive Pat didn't get what she asked for- no apology. Speaking to the manager was useless as I think he was someone they pulled in off the street- this after we waited 15 minutes for him to show up.
But I would not let that make you decide not to go- 'cos the rest of the place was great.
Only took us about an hour and a half to get there.
Jude and I will be planning a road trip in the spring. Patty the owner is planning on making us welcome with demo's make-n-takes refreshments and discount coupons.
Seats will fill up fast so let us know if you are interested!!
