Falalalalalala......

It's official, Thanksgiving is done. The Christmas holiday season starts. Around here in Pennsylvania, the holiday season started very early this year. I noticed many folks have their lights and trees up already. I came home from a day with my girlfriend on Friday to see the husband already brought down all our decorations from the attic. The tree is soon to follow. This is a new reality in our Covid world. I think since people are staying home, they want to hunker down into decorated houses.

Don't forget you have one more week to play along at Inky Paws with our seasonal color challenge. Lime green, grass green, red and white.

Today's card features the following product from Newton's Nook, "Caroling Newton"the music stencil, and the frames and flag set. I used the music stencil to emboss the image.

Here is a video on how to emboss your stencils.

Flurries

Happy Black Friday!! How are all of you feeling? Are you in turkey comas? This was a very different Thanksgiving. I spent it with just the hubs and me. Usually I am at my brother's for three days cooking for 30 plus folks. I am hopeful that next year will be different.

Black Friday is always spent with my BFF at all the major craft stores stocking up on essentials for holiday card making. How do you spend black Friday?

Today starts a new challenge at CAS on Friday. Our theme this week is:

SNOW

That is a rather broad theme and you can go any which way with it.

I love the Taylor Expression's masking stencils. They are perfect tool to make a fast clean and simple card.

You have two weeks to get your snow on and play along with us at CAS on Friday. As each snowflake is different, I am sure each card entered will be unique and beautiful.

Holiday macarons

For every special occasion my husband heads to the little French Patisserie in town for some exquisite macarons. They are soft, chewy with a delightful filling in the most vibrant colors. They aren't cheap and he usual comes home with a dozen of this gorgeous confections.

When I saw this week's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations, I immediately pulled out an old Avery Elle set, "Bonjour". Unfortunately it is no longer available. What is sweeter than holiday colored macarons?

Miss Pinkie

Today is the second week of our Newton's Nook Favorite stamp set challenge at Inky Paws. While I love my sharks, I have to say my absolute all time favorite stamp set is "Sweater Weather". The cute, sweet kitty reminds me so much of my precious girl Miss Pinkie who we lost in August. A holiday hasn't gone by that I haven't used this stamp set.

My card not only uses  "Sweater Weather", but I also used "Whispering Pines", Snowfall stencil, and circle frame dies.

Favorites

Today starts a new challenge at Inky Paws. It is an awesome challenge- one we have never done before. We want you to use your favorite Newton's Nook stamp set. I just love this idea. But the hard part is how can I narrow down my favorite stamp set.

I decided to go back and see what was truly my "go to" stamp set. While I absolutely adore all of the Newton stamps, for some reason the stamp set that I have used the most over the past few years is "Shark Bites". Not sure why I love this set but I always find something fun to do with it.

Today's card has my grinning shark swimming through "Waves and Splashes" stencil also from Newton's Nook.

I can not wait to see your favorite Newton's Nook stamp set used for or "favorite" challneg at Inky Paws! You have two weeks week to play along at Inky Paws!  We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Foxy Thanksgiving

November has brought spring back to us. Warm days in the 70s. WhileI am enjoying it, somehow it just doesn't feel right. Bring on the 50's. Shocking coming from someone who loves the hot weather the older she gets.

Today starts a new challenge at Cupcake Inspirations. We have a very fallish/Thanksgivingy feel color challenge. Red, orange and yellow.

I have been loving the adorable and whimsical fall critters from Penny Black and this little fox in his cap and scarf just plain make me smile! Pop him in the center of this cute wreath and voila a fun Thanksgiving card!

You have two weeks to play along at Cupcake Inspirations with our warm color challenge- actually matches the temps we are having these day!!
