Wait a minute!! Isn't the challenge at Cupcake Inspirations still "shades of blue"? Nope?!!? What was I thinking?!!? Hey wait, it's OK!! The theme is SNOWFLAKES!
This card was so pretty, I decided to try it in another color scheme.
A very tropical snowflake!
This is our last challenge at Cupcake Inspirations for 2020. I hope you will play along. Wishing all of you a very blessed Christmas and healthy New Year!
What's Christmas without a fun holiday beverage. What's your pleasure? A creme brulee latte, an a big cupof bourbon spiked eggnog, or like me a marshmallow topped hot chocolate. Holidaya are bout festive food and drink.
Which is our last challenge for the year at Christmas 24. If you have been playing along, you should have 24 cards in your holiday stash.
Today I am reminding you that you have one more week to play along with Inky Paws for 2020! Where did this crazy year go. It felt like it dragged and then flew along. Very weird.
Our last challenge for the year is a cool sketch. So many ways to go with this.
I chose to use the "Frozen Friends" and "Snowfall Roundabout"by Newton's Nook for my card. The husband always gets at least 5 or 6 cards. This will definitely be a winner with him- even if it doesn't feature a teddy bear!!
Hope you are all getting in the spirit and will play along with our awesome sketch at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate.
Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the
following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the
blog.
The deadline to enter today's challenge is Friday, December 18, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced
on the following Monday at Inky Paws.
Wishing all of you a blessed, peaceful and healthy Christmas and New Year's! See you all in January with new challenges!!
I love all the Scandinavian themed stamps that have been released the last few years. This large cover stamp by Hero Arts, makes a very quick and easy card.
I inked up the stamp with shades of blue. Using the negative rectangle from Taylored Expressions I created a white window for my sentiment with a lighter shade of blue around it. Couple of gems to add glitz and this quick and easy was complete.
You have one more week to show us your shades of blue at Cupcake Inspirations. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!
Sometimes I get stuck in a rut with color choices, especially around the holidays. Red and green, blues really what else is there? I was looking at some pattern paper and it had grey, pinks and gold and it was so striking, that I just had to try it myself.
My card today is for the new challenge at CAS on Friday. The theme this week is:
BEST WISHES
I had to turn around the best wishes into best Christmas wishes because that is what my stamping is all about right now.
Have you noticed how many people have begun decorating? I saw Christmas trees up and decorated on Thanksgiving. I am told it's part of our Covid mind. People want happy things around them. In keeping with everyone else, our house is decorated and our tree is up. It does make me happy, so maybe there is something to that.
Today starts our last challenge at Inky Paws for this year. We are closing out the year with an intriguing sketch. I was a bit skeptical at first. But soon the my mind was whirling coming up with all kinds of ideas.
Hope you are all getting in the spirit and will play along with our awesome sketch at Inky Paws. We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate.
Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the

I have been noticing lots of cars on the road with trees tied to their roofs. Whenever I see one I yell- Christmas tree!! Don't ask me why, I just do.
Today's challenge at Cupcake Inspirations is "Shades of Blue". I love shades of blue, perfect at Christmas time.
Today's card features new stuff from Ellen Hutson, Knockout Forest and "Merry Little Christmas". I did direct to paper with several shades of blue for the trees. I think the new term for DTP is swiping your ink.
Here is the same card with a different color scheme.
You have two weeks to show us your shades of blue at Cupcake Inspirations. I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!
Sooooo..... musical inspiration.... I usually go with the color theme, but for this month, I want to go with some holiday and festive. My video inspiration will make you chuckle. It is keeping with my card theme.
You have all month to play along with our holiday rainbow challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. Hope you get your rainbow on and join us.
It's official, Thanksgiving is done. The Christmas holiday season starts. Around here in Pennsylvania, the holiday season started very early this year. I noticed many folks have their lights and trees up already. I came home from a day with my girlfriend on Friday to see the husband already brought down all our decorations from the attic. The tree is soon to follow. This is a new reality in our Covid world. I think since people are staying home, they want to hunker down into decorated houses.
Don't forget you have one more week to play along at Inky Paws with our seasonal color challenge. Lime green, grass green, red and white.

I just love gingerbread, cookies, cake, bread. It doesn't matter I love that warm spicy taste and don't get me started on how it makes your house smell. I think gingerbread is the smell of Christmas!
Today's card features a well loved and inked stamp set from Lawn Fawn- "Simply Celebrate Winter". This set make a very CAS and quick cards. You can use this card design and just switch up the images and different cards. Easy peasy.
