Flower soft love..

OK here is a sample made with what will probably be the only new thing this year in stamping. Let me know what you all think? Does it remind you of flocking? Os it something different?

Ya got me- I have never worked with flocking.

But- I really like this stuff!!

StampScrapArtTour in Oaks this weekend

Good Morning Paper Crafters!

I had an unexpected day off on Friday, so I went with Pat to the Container store in Jersey. On the way home, I was telling her I had checked out the classes at the StampScrapArtTour in Oaks for this weekend. I thought the Inky Antics class looked like fun. Next thing you know we are driving straight to Oaks to take the class along with Bevy B.!!

The class was on Interactive cards and the instructor Jackie- was awesome. Everything was cut measured and prepped for you. We just had to put the cards together. My hat goes off to Jackie - we made 4 somewhat difficult cards in under two hours.

We decided to stay for the make-n-take that evening. Seven make-n-takes and a dessert bar. Every project was great. It ran smoothly with no waiting. Both Bev and Pat won door prizes. Poor me!!

The next morning Pat and were off again to tour the convention and spend some money. First stop- Inky Antics for those got to have whimsical stamps and to see Jackie demo gamsol. She’s the pro and I picked up some tips. Next Stampers Anonymous where I visited with a the owner who I was in Ranger U. with. We caught up and I watched him demo for a bit. Of course I had to by some stamps and Timmy stuff while I was there. Purrs and Pants was next on the agenda as Pat had to pick up a bunch of dog related stamps.  I got the template to make the spinner card. After that we just roamed around checking out other booths.

I got some flower soft a hot new item that I has seen on SCS inkling this week. I’m in love and will post a card this week. I only got it in pink and light green and wished I gotten a few more colors. Perhaps at Allentown?....

Sparkle and Sprinkle was our last stop for those gorgeous translucent glitters!

For a small show it was just right- not too crowded, lots of demos and bargains. I would definitely recommend this show.

bees wax creation

Good Morning Bloggers!!

I am entering early 'cos it is gonna be sunny and 65 today. I would love, love, love to get outside and enjoy the great weather before the rain comes back.

This is a canvas that I made at my beeswax class last Saturday at the Little Spark. Similar to the class I took with MaryJo McGraw at Heather's years back. The fun n classes is not only learning something new its being with friends and making new friends. I have a saying that goes-"If ya learn one new thing in a class it was worth it!!"

I just might get the beeswax pan out again!!

Enjoy your day folks!!

Hello Everyone!
I know, I know, long time since you've heard from me! Thanks, Sue, for keeping up the slack! I have my samples for the class I'm teaching at the Allentown show. Hope you all will join Sue and me in Allentown and take our classes! My class is called Mother of Invention and we'll be creating a 'mother board' with brayering, stamping, and embossing. It's a fun and creative time and then you'll create some cards by cutting up the 'mother board' and using the pieces to create some wonderful cards.
I'll be posting again soon, but I wanted to get these photos to you! Have a great day!

Hey Paper Artists-

Wow what a crazy and creative weekend, just what I needed after the crappy week I had at work.

It started on Friday night at Margarita's Stampin Up party at sister Lydia's {isn't she beautiful!!} house. Margarita prepared a fabulous Puerto Rican dinner complete with the best flan I ever had!! We made a couple of real cute cards and got to use the Big Shot die cutting machine that Stampin Up is now carrying. I gotta have one! I got a lot of good stamps and stuff and gladly contributed to Margarita's being able to get a Big Shot for free!!

Saturday it was off to the Little Spark in Jersey for a class on beeswax and shopping. Store owner Pat and her husband Lee made us welcome and were happy to see the "Philly Foursome+ one" again. I hurried through my project so I could shop especially before the rest got in the store!! Sooooo yet again I am doing my part in keeping a small business open!!

I spent Sunday in the Studio creating with all my new stuff. Lots of Easter cards. Here is my favorite card I made today and a pic of my haul from the Spark. Check back later in the week for more cards.

Don't forget the Allentown Heirloom convention coming up on April 4 and 5th. Judy and I are teaching. One of the few gigs we are doing this year.

Double Embossing with Cuttlebug and Nestablities

Good Evening Everyone!!

I spent a long time trying to put a video from youtube for double embossing. I finally got it embedded in the blog but it wouldn't open. You need to go to youtube to open it. I have some pictures of this technique. I highly recommend you checking the video out. Go to youtube and in the search area put in "double embossing with the cuttlebug and nestabiities" The first video that comes up is the one you want. I had my cuttlebug next to the puter and followed along and it is amazing how this technique works. Here are a couple of pics of the technique and cards.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello everyone!!

Bev surprised me with this whimsical stamp set from Hero Arts after our trip to the Little Spark.

Mushrooms?!!? What am I gonna due with mushrooms I am thinking. But hey don't look a gift stamp in the mount! So me being me, I gave Bev a BIG hug and said THANKS Bevy B!!

While looking for another stamp I came across the saying have "a magical day"!! Well my first husband and mushrooms were very good friends and it all clicked!

Nothing like bold psychedelic colors, black light  swirly patterns to remind you of the good old days!!

So this card is in honor of the 60's when everything seemed possible!

NEW STAMP STORE!!!!!

WOW!! It has been awhile since I posted. Lots of things going on in my life. But first things first. What have we all been waiting for??
Yep- a new stamp store!!!

One Little Spark is at 161 East Main street in Tuckerton,  NJ. The number is 1-609-296-2751 The store is nestled in amongst a bunch of other cute little fun stores. Little Spark isn't very big (think Kris's garage store) but Pat Thorpe and her husband Lee are doing things right. New stuff coming in all the time. Sales on old stuff going out. Pat's daughter is a designer for A Muse rubber stamps- so you will see a lot of A Muse stamps, but she is carrying Hero Arts, Memory Box, Lockhart among other companies and she just got in My Favorite Things rubber stamps. Pat and Lee are just as friendly and helpful as they can be. The atmosphere reminds me of Heather's- lots of laughing, info being traded and great stuff for sale. Check out the blog- onelittlespark.typepad.com They do have classes. I took the Copic 101 with Pat, Bev and Margueritta and had a blast.  Needless to say this "Philly Foursome" already has a reputation at One Little Spark!! I commented on Pat Thorpe's guts opening a stamp store in November during a recession, but she is going to do her best to stay open. That's where all of you come in!! Please- Take a trip and check out the store. You won't be disappointed. If you get there around 3 there is a dinner that has a fabulous early bird special for $8.95. I had prime rib and others had scallops. Excellent food!!
