Message

Woo hoo!!! Yippeeeeeee!!!! It's Friday!! The best day of the week!! It's time for another challenge at CAS on Friday!!

Today's challenge is a bit different than our other challenges. It is a sketch challenge.

Sketch challenges are always fun, because you aren't tied to a theme or colors. Basically you can pick whatever stamps you want and fit them to the sketch. I usually try to go for stamp sets that haven't been shown some inky love in awhile. Today that deserving stamp is "Just My Type" from Lawn Fawn. Unfortunately, this stamp set is no longer available.

Get out some old and neglected stamps, show them some love and join us in our CAS sketch challenge. Be sure to share it with us at  CAS on Friday . You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Our winner will be the guest designer for the next challenge at CAS on Friday!!

You're the best!

Things are starting to return to the new normal in south eastern Pa. The rest of my staff is returning to endoscopy after eight weeks helping out in the ICU, the traffic is picking up (I am not the only car on the road anymore!!), my husband went with me to get ice cream and our shopping area is opening.

Today's card was made for the color  challenge at Inky Paws. Wonderful, summery colors. Turquoise, orange, green, and yellow.

But the card could really go to the nine nurses on my unit that were redeployed to the ICU and Covid floors to help out during the surge. They are the best and are the true front line hero's in my book!!

This CAS card uses "Toucan Party" and the "Tropical Leaves" stencil both from Newton's Nook.

Hope things are normalizing where you live and that you have time to craft and join our summery color challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday 19, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.

time for something completely different

Time to show off some tangling- Zentangle that is. When I am not stamping I am tangling. The quiet meditative strokes really help relax and calm me, especially after stressful days at the hospital.

I love learning to draw Celtic knots. When they all come together in one big organized tangle it is so satisfying.

Another tangled I learned is embedded letters. This was from a video by Rick and Maria, the founders of Zentangle.

One last mono tangle for all my music friends out there.

I hope you enjoyed seeing something a bit different.

Four score..... lines....

Happy Thursday all. Today is a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz. Cardz 4 Galz are looking for cards with more than one score. I made this card and then  the challenge at Cardz 4 Galz was clarified to mean more than one fold. It was too late,  this camper had already made her card for Cardz 4 Galz with more than one score- score  line that is.

I just love this CAS birthday card with its multiple- "more than one score" score lines. It was inspired by a card Julie Ebersole did in the Spring Card Class 1.

Head on over to  Cardz 4 Galz and join in the more than one score challenge, but you might not want to be a rebel like me, so show us a card with more than one fold. The other DT members at Cardz 4 Galz will show how you do it. (unless....... you just might want to challenge the challenge and make a card with more than one score.... line. ) 😄 You have 2 weeks to play along at Cardz 4 Galz.

She's a rainbow

Every once in awhile you make a card and you just sit back and think "Wow!!! I made that!" Well... that is exactly how I feel about this card. I just love the pastel rainbow of flamingos. It just makes me smile. besides, who doesn't love a rainbow?!!? Laura Bassen has made a career out of rainbows!!

That is why I expect lots of players this month at The Rainbow Card Challenge!! All month long we want you to use a pastel rainbow in your creations.

I used Rubbernecker's "Splash Party". Disclaimer here- this is a tricky stamp to use. It took me several tries to get the beaks in place. You all think we designers just whip out our cards, but you never see all the cards in the trash. This perfect sentiment is from Altenew's "Birds of a Feather"

Today's music inspiration is a classic from The Stones- The Rolling Stones: "She's a Rainbow".

You have all month to play along with our pastel rainbow card challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge.

Bethlehem

It's time for another challenge at Christmas 24. We have a color challenge waiting for you.

How does blue and gold sound to you?!!? Sounded great to me. It gave me the opportunity to pull out a stamp that hasn't been shown any inky love. I picked up Bethlehem from Impression Impression at the Allentown rubber stamp convention. Because of that nasty virus, there was no convention. I have never missed one in the last 20 some years. Here's to next year!

You have two weeks to play along with our blue and gold challenge at Christmas 24!!

Sunny days ahead

Happy Monday Inky Paws peeps!! Looking forward to a sunny day, even if I have to work, I stil; lobe a sunny day.

Did you guys know that sunflowers always turn their heads to the sun, just like me!!

You still have a week to play along at our floral theme challenge at Inky Paws. We haven't had too many players- come on folks, I know you must love a good flower challenge.

Today's card features "Sunflower Days"  and "Sunscape stencil" from Newton's Nook.

Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the time at home crafting and join our flowery challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Our favorite entries from each challenge will be highlighted the following Monday, so all entries have a chance to be featured on the blog.

The deadline to enter today's challenge is this Friday June 5, 2020 at MN CST. The winners will be announced on the following Monday at Inky Paws.
