Purrrr-fect wave

Another CAS card from Newton's Perfect Wave from Newton's Nook for the "summertime" challenge at Inky Paws. 

I love the idea of a focal image and the supporting stencil. This card features the sunscape stencil also from NN. The card is not only CAS but quick and can be used with a variety of images.

 Today is the second week for our combo challenge at Cupcake Inspiration with our friends at Double Trouble. This is a super fun challenge. Flowers and bling?!!? Come on stampers, an easy one.

Today's card features the well loved and inked Altenew stamp set, "Best Mom". The background, "thanks" is a VERY old HA stamp set. No longer available. Sorry.

Embrace the blue space

You all know that I am a CAS kinda gal and that I just want to embrace the white space. But what about the blue space?

Today's new challenge at CAS on Friday is asking us to just do that.  The new challenge is:

ANYTHING BUT WHITE

Thus my blue card where I have embraced the blue space in my CAS card. I love this card because it show cases a really cool technique by Yana Smakula. To make it easy for you I am adding the video here. This tecnique is perfect for use with this outta the box CAS challenge.

My card today features one of my favorite floral stamps-"Dainty Daisies" from Newtons Nook.

Hang ten!

 

It's feeling like summer here in southeastern Pa. Temps will be in the 90's for the next several days. It is perfect inspiration for the challenge at Inky Paws!

It's a perfect time to hang ten and catch the perfect wave!!

I am not a surfer but it sure looks fun, but at my age I would probably drown or break a hip!! I was curious though what exactly "hang ten" means.

Straight from Wikipedia:

A Hang Ten is a surfing maneuver in which a surfer stands and hangs all his or her toes over the nose of the board. Usually this can only be done on a heavy long board.

I'm a sweetie!

 

 

Hey Everyone!! Today I am starting a new adventure. I am a sweetie  at Cupcake Inspirations. I know many of you are thinking- but Sue T. you have always been a sweetie!! But now it s official!!

The team at CI must have known I was coming because the first challenge is right up my alley.

 

 

 

 Flowers!! I love flowers, who doesn't love flowers and pairing them with pearls or sequins?!!? Well this challenge is a no brainer!! I expect everyone to play along!

 

Today is even more special though. For our challenge today we are joining up with the team at Double Trouble for even more fun

 

The challenge at Double Trouble involves the TicTacToe board. Pair it with the flowers and bling at Cupcake Inspirations and you have double the fun!!

Today's card features all the elements of the challenge at CI but I also used the middle column at DT- summer, flowers and, die cuts.You might be questioning the die cut- my second layer was die cut. I used a favorite Clearly Besotted stamp set.

Oldie but goodie

There is nothing like a good monochromatic card and that is what The Rainbow Card Challenge is all about.  Every month we feature a different color and we challenge you to use that color exclusively.

This month's color is tangerine. You might think well why not orange? Why use orange when tangerine is so much more fun and inspiring. Besides so many folks have a love hate relationship with orange, but what's to hate about tangerine.

 

I can't decide who to give this card to, my hubby or my boss. Both are avid guitarists. I jusy might have to make another one. I am always on the look out for guitar stamps. Today's card features "Classic Rock" from Penelope Dee.  The sentiment is from My Favorite Things; "For the Record".

Today's music inspiration is from another "oldie but goodie" Frank Sinatra, singing what else but "Tangerine"

Christmas Foliage

 

I just love a mistletoe stamp. I have a bunch of them. When I saw the next challenge at Christmas 24, I knew I had to use one of my mistletoe stamps. This one is from a really old Papertrey Ink set called "Mistletoe and Holly". I wasn't crazy about the berries that came with the set and with a white gelly roll pen, I drew my own. The sentiment is from Wplus9 "Be Merry".
