Tulip girl

When I am organizing my cards for my various challenges, I assign them quick titles so I can remember which card gets posted when. Today's card for Inky Paws was quickly tagged with "tulip girl". So, that was what I titled this post. I have a "tulip girl" at work. One of my GI fellows loves tulips and spent a morning at a tulip farm in NJ. She said it was gorgeous. She bought tons of tulips and can only imagine that this is what she looked like carrying all her tulips in to her apartment.

Today is our second week at Inky Paws for our sketch challenge. Not many peeps played along this past week. Perhaps this week's DT offerings will inspire you.

Please continue to stay safe, healthy, and enjoy the time at home crafting and join our sketch challenge at Inky Paws! You have two weeks to play along at Inky Paws! We will chose a RANDOM entry to win a $20.00 Newton's Nook store gift certificate. Hi friend!

Finally season appropriate weather. We had a warm winter and a cold spring, but today we are looking at temps in the 80s!! To bad I have to work.

Today is a new challenge at CAS on Friday. We are asking you to use a

DIE

For me this was a no brainer. I had this word die I have been wanting to use and the tulip stencil from Simon Says Stamp. I have wanted to try this technique which I am sure came from Jennifer Maguire. Stars in alignment. A beautiful thing.

I sent this card to my bestie. I have not seen her for several weeks do to that nasty virus. ni wanted her to know how much I miss her.

Time to riffle through your dies and make a your CAS card and share it with us at  CAS on Friday    You have two weeks to play along. Please make sure your card is CAS (see the rules if you are not sure) or you will not be considered for the top prize or a top three spot.

Our winner will be the guest designer for the next challenge at CAS on Friday!!

House of Cards April Challenge: Color/ Script

I was trying to think of a funny April Fool's story but couldn't come up with anything. Last year, I pulled a fast one on all you readers, but things like that only work once.
Anywho, I am up in the Poconos with all bestie and other stamping buddies to go to the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Convention. The convention gets smaller every year but it is fun to get away with the girls for a weekend of stamping. The weather is suppose to be cold and rainy but it won't matter to us crafty gals!

This month's challnege at the House of Cards is either a colors, use script or both.

My first card while it isn't exactly script, I really liked it. I used to rather old but well loved stamps from PTI and Hero Arts.

My second card is more in keeping with the whole script thing and colors. It's just OK. Again I used all old stuff. The tulips is actually a wood stamp!!! I betcha there are new stampers out there who even wonder why you would use a wood stamp. They have become so old school.

Please play along with us this month at House of Cards and show us how our challenge inspires you!
