Copic Markers Anyone?

Mornin' Guys!!

How many of you have gotten on the Copic  (pronounced Co (LONG O) pic) bus.

I have gotten on but haven't bought the round trip ticket yet. I took my second copic class yeserday at One Little Spark in  Jersey. These classes have been taught by Heather Messon a member of the design team at A Muse and a copic certified instructor. WOW she really taught us some easy and amazing tips and ways to use these somewhat daunting markers. I am getting close to buying the round trip.

If you are interested in getting started visit ilikemarkers.blogspot.com There are many good tips to get you started. Marianne you has this blog has a nice video on getting started.

Let me know how many of you are using the Copics as your preferred means of coloring. E-mail me some cards or other things you have done with the Copic markers and I will post them.

Have  great day!!

Happy Secretaries Day and Happy Weekend

Good Morning Everyone!!

I wanted to say Happy Secretaries Day to all you secretaries and admin assistants. I know I could not do my job with out my two!! Jen and Grace are essential to the running of my work life. My day is often punctuated with muttering, cursing and then me yelling-Jen! or Grace!

The card above is the card I made for them for their day. Grace is a stamper too and has her husband totally indoctrinated as we all do. When she showed him the card Imade he said "great embellishments!!"

Well I am off to One Little Spark in Jersey for classes and fun!!

Enjoy your weekend folks!!

Post Convention Wrap Up

Good Evening Everyone-

One week ago Judy and I were in the Poconos getting ready for Saturday's convention and classes. We had a GREAT weekend!!

We got up the house on Thursday at 11:00PM (Yeah very late for me!!) and then we watched a movie. In bed by 1:30 and I was up at 6:15 ready to stamp.

We stamped and prepared for classes on Friday.

Saturday we were up early and off to allentown for a big day. Judy taught her first convention class with excellent reviews and Dave and Pat of Heirloom asked her to come back next year.

My class was much less attended but we still had an awesome time and the students felt they learned a lot.

We really did not get to check out the show till almost 3pm. I did my usual racing around and Judy watched all the demos. I didn't buy to much. I got the other shades of flower soft I wanted plus some Momento ink pads and the new bright alcohol inks by Ranger.

It is always great to go to the conventions because I always see old friends, such as Joan, Sylvia, Dolores, Heather and Gwen among others. I got to meet a fellow Stamper's Quest Guide Regina who hails from Harrisburg and that was cool, considering we have guides from all over the world.

Sunday and Monday were totally stamping days. Judy spent all of her time on fabric and made these adorable clutches. I worked on projects for Stampers Quest.

The rest of the week is a blur of working and getting ready for the holiday weekend.

Stay in touch. Judy and I wish all of you a peaceful and blessed Easter.

OFF TO THE POCONOS AND ALLENTOWN!!

It is a gray and dreary day but I am full of sunshine. Tonight Jude and I leave for the Pocono's for our quarterly all girls's stamping weekend. The highlight of the weekend will be of course the Heirloom Rubber Stamp Convention in Allentown. Judy and I will both be teaching!! WOO HOO!!!! Check out samples and class times in older blog entries. I will also be meeting a fellow designer- Regina from Stamper's Questie {we are called Questies ya know!!}  and that will be great!

When the convention is over it's knuckling down to some serious stamping- at least for me. I will be very busy working on commissioned card projects as well as my 3 big projects for Stampers Quest due in May. Since these are my first "real" submissions the pressure is on.

Judy told me she was going to be working on -what else but some fabric projects.

I will take lots of pics and post when we get home.

Jude and I hope to see many of you in Allentown Saturday!!

Make-n-Takes from StampScrapArtTour

The froggy card is a make-n-take from Repeat Impressions. It is a spinner card. I have never been big into the interactive card but this one captured my imagination. Prepare to see lots of samples in the future. I have all kinds of ideas "spinning" in my head.

The cook card is my first spinner card on my own. It was for a  birthday card for one of my staff.

Let me know what you think.
