eeeeeek!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! It's a bright and sunny Monday! There is still a few days left to play along with the holiday mix-up challenge over at Inky Paws.

Today's card quick and easy if you need a fast card to send to your favorite ghost, witch or little goblin. I just die-cut a bunch of pumpkin faces from Newton's Nook's "Pick a pumpkin". I stamped "eek" from Newton's Nook's"Newton's perfect pumpkin". I layered this piece on top of glitter paper. The glitter paper was white and I colored it orange with my copic markers.

Hey there weeners! Halloweeners I mean. 10 days until the creepy, spooky and oh so chilly day!! I have been making spooky and fun cards like a mad woman!

Today's card is inspired by a "holiday mix-up" theme over at Inky Paws. I chose Halloween as my holiday.

Today's card features "Newton's boo-tiful night" and the sentiment is from "Halloween trio", both from Newton's Nook. Unconventional colors create this cute and whimsical card.

Thankful

A short posting today. I have been sick with a horrid chest cold for the last several days. Today is reminder that there is still time to play along at Inky Paws for a fun sketch challenge.

It's hard to feel thankful when my nose is running like a sieve and I am hacking up my right lung, but hey life could be so much worse. I am thankful for family, friends, the changing seasons, a good book and a hot bath.

My card today uses the cute set from Newton's Nook "Autumn Mice".

Happy HOWL-oween!!

Three weeks until Halloween! I have been busy working on frightfully cute and whimsical boo cards.
Today's card was inspired by the new sketch challenge at Inky Paws.

I kept right to the sketch- no deviations. I used Happy Howl-ween, frameworks dies, speech bubbles dies, and fancy edges tags. All from Newton's Nook. 

The orange twine on my card is from Newton's Nook too. It is the twine that ties my stamps and dies together when I place a order with them I always save the pieces.

Stamp it black

October!! Holy Bats!!! Where has the time gone? Just a few weeks ago I was at the beach. Now Halloween is just around the corner, with Thanksgiving and Christmas soon to follow.

October 1 means a new color challenge at The Rainbow Card Challenge. This month's color is "brazenly black". Black is a tough one and this month is sure to challenge us all. But hey the fact that it is Halloween- that should make it easier for all of you. I went in a completely different direction and I tried to make a "cute" card using all black.

I die cut the happy birthday using black glitter paper to create the contrast I needed for all the black on this card. The die cut was from an online company called Wish. See this post if you want to know about Wish. The stamps were from Mama Elephant. "Up and Away" and "The Birthday Bash". I colored the images with copics using the darker shades of grey. 

This month's music inspiration is the Rolling Stones "Paint it Black"
